Controller Test

Test Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Switch Pro, PS3, and other browser-supported controllers. Check buttons, triggers, analog sticks, stick drift, deadzones, vibration support, alternate mappings, and raw Gamepad API data.

Waiting Connect a controller, then press any button.
Controller None The selected gamepad reported by the browser.
Buttons Active 0 Buttons currently pressed past the active threshold.
Left Drift — Current left-stick movement away from calibrated center.
Right Drift — Current right-stick movement away from calibrated center.

Controller Connection

Most browsers require one physical button press before the controller appears here.

Idle
Use this when a controller works but the labels or visual buttons do not match correctly.

Axis Mapping Override

Use this when a controller appears, but a stick or D-pad axis is wrong. Watch the Raw Axis Monitor below, then assign the axis that moves.

Auto mapping is active. If Switch right-stick up/down acts like the D-pad, use the Switch alt button or manually change Right Stick Y.

Note: This page uses the browser Gamepad API. It does not install drivers, read private device serial numbers, or send controller data anywhere. Non-standard controllers can vary by browser, OS, USB/Bluetooth mode, and driver.

Analog Stick Position

Dots show current stick location. The ring shows your selected deadzone.

Live
12%
Movement inside this radius is treated as normal controller noise. Higher values ignore more drift but reduce stick sensitivity.

Buttons & Triggers

Press every button to verify it registers. Trigger values show analog pressure when supported.

Raw Axis Monitor

Useful for Switch Pro, PS3, Steam, and generic controllers when the browser reports a D-pad, trigger, or stick as an axis instead of a normal button.

No axis data available yet.

Stick Drift Analysis

Leave the controller untouched, then run a scan. The page samples both sticks and reports average and maximum drift.

Idle
Seconds to sample while the sticks are untouched.
Analog button value needed before it counts as pressed.
Left Stick Drift No scan yet Calibrate first, then run a scan with the stick untouched.
Right Stick Drift No scan yet Calibrate first, then run a scan with the stick untouched.
Scan Samples 0 More samples give a better idea of idle stick behavior.
Last Button — The most recent button pressed during this session.
